Josh Ortiz is a working Producer, Music Director, and Keyboardist from Queens, New York. Currently, Josh Ortiz serves as a music producer on Telemundo´s new show, “TuNite Con Lerrenzo Parro,” creating the show´s theme song. Josh is also touring the US with Spanish Pop artist Domenic Marte, and will be participating in the European leg of Domenic´s tour come the summer.
Josh Ortiz works with numerous TV producers, music producers, and artists such as DMC (Run DMC), Albe Back, Full Force, The Last Poets and Swiss Chris, Devo Springsteen, DJ Johnny Juice. Most recently, Josh Ortiz has collaborated with accomplished artist Mari Solis, serving as the keyboardist and producer for her latest records.
Of Josh´s work ethic, Campbell McLaren – Executive Producer for NBC/Telemundo – states, “I am extremely impressed at how driven and focused he is. You see a lot of talented up-and-comers in this business however very few have lasting power. Joshua Ortiz has that, I´m very sure of it.”
Josh Ortiz hopes to eventually work as a music producer and music director for film and television. Ultimately, Josh believes that his passion for music will allow him to meet the needs of any artist, and with his distinguished work ethic, he will most definitely be able to satiate potential clients´ every need.
At the tender age of five, Josh took a liking to the piano, working side-by-side with his church´s pianist to learn the basics. Although mostly self-taught, Josh´s early immersion in music allowed him to develop much versatility as a musician. “Partaking in music at such an early age exposed me to all different styles of music – gospel, pop, r&b, contemporary music, etc . What this did for me as a musician was spark my interest in all different genres of music, allowing me to experiment with each unique style.”
Joshua Ortiz fed his passion for music by enrolling in a music academy to study Jazz. Under the direction of world-renowned musician/baissist Pete Coco, Josh was presented with several opportunities to showcase his talents in venues throughout New York City.
